She was nominated for the Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for founding Quick Think Inc. whose vision is
"To Teach You How to Get Others to do What You Want" using successful negotiation strategies. As a regional manager for Wendy's International in the early eighties she organized her 350 employees into multifunctional work teams. She was selected from 3,000 managers worldwide as Wendy's Employee of the Year! She went on to become the National Franchise Director for the Fresher Cooker.
Barbara believes we must all leave the earth better than we found it. She does this by serving on the Air Pollution Board, Voter Outreach Board, Police Advisory Board, Simmons College of Kentucky Board of Trustees, and volunteering diligently with her Chamber of Commerce! Along the way she has helped to raise seven children and managed to make sure that 450,000 schoolchildren get to have an arts experience every year! In all her pursuits, civic as well as business, Barbara is a team builder, a team leader, a motivator and an innovator. She is a highly sought-after speaker who gave more than 250 presentations last year! |
